Please help me help others. I am searching for opportunities to help children in need here in our home town and surrounding regions. Mission work need not be overseas and as a Specialist in Chiropractic Pediatric, Maternity and Family Wellness Care I truly want to do more. If you are affiliated with or know someone affiliated with, an organization upporting children in need. (special needs children included), that would be interested in utilizing my services, please let me know.
October is here and we are ¾ of the way through 2010. Is this your BEST YEAR EVER? If YES, congratulations! If NO, it is not to late to turn it around. Either way, it is time to start planning for the year to come.

I just returned from my ChiroMission to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. We adjusted over 70,000 people (mostly children) and raised $55,000 (over $3,700 of which was from those generous souls who made donations through Stern Chiropractic and/or participated in our silent auction – Thank You). The money not only went to buy food and supplies for those in need but was enough to fund the building of an orphanage for 75 children with no family or home.
My trip was very eye opening both in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. I had the opportunity to introduce chiropractic into a hospital in a Dominican town named Bonao. After helping the administrators and the head doctors understand what chiropractic was, they received their 1st adjustments and were thrilled with the results. They felt that chiropractic care could benefit all their patients and took us through the hospital. I provided greatly needed chiropractic care to the pediatric, maternity and newborn wards and had the opportunity to care for a 2 hour old baby, a mother in her last moments of
labor, and many children and babies with tropical fever and dysentery just to mention a few. What a wonderful opportunity it was to serve those in need! The hospital can’t wait for chiropractors to return on future mission trips. In addition to the hospital, I had the opportunity to serve many people in need in rural villages, poverty stricken towns and Haitian shanty towns. I provided care to over 2,000 people in need (95% were children) and I am certain this positively changed their (and my) lives for ever on many levels.
I truly hope that the time will come (sooner than later) that ALL Newborn babies will be checked for subluxation (nerve system interference) by a Chiropractor immediately after birth. Chiropractic care provides the baby with a clear and well-functioning nerve system right from the start and the opportunity for the greatest potential for optimal health and well-being.

To continue in the spirit of giving, my wonderful wife has organized a used Halloween costume collection to provide the less fortunate with costumes for my most favorite of holidays. I have enclosed a flyer and will be collecting costumes at my office now through Friday October 15th. Please help us help children in need have a HAPPY and HEALTHY Halloween.
